We had to ask to turn the air conditioner on along with repeatedly asking for water and the wine list more than 3 times. We were doing a la carte as the pre-fix didn't look as good and our group has very different tastes. They gave issues about what the 8 of us were ordering and said we can only choose from 4 options... never heard of such a thing. The prices were outrageously expensive. The dinner was 4 hours.... each mediocre plate with only a bite or more of food. I can say the plates looked beautiful, but there was nothing great about any of them. They brought bread out on about 6 occasions, probably just to distract us that we weren't receiving our food. I ended up asking for our bill since it was so late and still not done 4 hours later.. The chef tried to hit on me, then proceeded to yell and scream at us for not liking his food and being dumb Americans. Was not impressed to say the least, but now we have a funny story to tell about our michelin dinner in Tuscany !
Lunch at Vissani’s A great opportunity to try fine dining from a great chef for a reasonable cost. Same a la carte menu. Nice welcoming from maestro himself. Also nice of him to take time to chat with all guests during lunch. The kitchen delivers to perfection! Modern cousin inspired by traditional Italien food. Subtile flavors at the start, and then a perfect balanced explosion in the end. Service was ok, but not perfect. We hade to ask for water (and more wine) serval times... Arriving at 40 degrees, a wet towel to freshen up would have been nice. On the other hand, at this great price, lunchtime is a great start for new staff. In all a great experience, and we look forward to come back and spend the night. Vissani has created a Mecca for foodies! In the middle of nowhere.
Oh well, 2 Michellin stars ... a bit of a joke at best .. all of us had a good laugh though .. my husband made reservations 6 months in advance.. no need really, the reastaurant was empty! That, right there, says a lot! Nothing there was even close to what a Michelin star quality should be, just wonder how on earth they got those stars??
Delicious roasted pizza, best coffee I've ever had. Super friendly staff. Great place to visit.
Traveling through northern Italy with my friends, and thank you for stopping here. The food and service was absolutely amazing. The fried pizza, Napoli, was my favorite. My friends had the orecchiette salsiccia e friarielli and the spaghetti cacio e pepe, and they were also amazing. I'm so glad we're over. If I ever find myself here, it would definitely come back to Al ClesSidro. The waitress and waitress were very friendly and helpful, 5 stars all around!
