The Black Forest Bar Restaurant

I love this place! Room is beautifully updated, clean, and oh so comfortable, especially the bed. The free to-go breakfast is an interesting concept, and a delicious one. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, and the Black Forest Bar is beautiful, comfortable, and prices are not outrageous. I will definitely stay here again.

We arrived for an early dinner. No one was at the front desk so we walked into the bar where we were greeted. We chose to sit in the dining area. Our server was great, the food was delicious.

My wife and i stayed here for the night. It is 20 minutes from Metamora. Very cute little town. It is very close to many things to walk to. Love music on Fridays. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful boutique hotel! The room was immaculate and the best shower head and water pressure ever! The rooms are unique as described. All the basics. The bathroom is small, but done so well that it is not a deterrent. Beautiful location large café shop next to, family pizza place and can go through downtown and outdoor art exhibitions with history as well as winter light art exhibition. You will not regret a stay in The Sherman.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Sherman. While there were some cons, the overall experience was a good one. We loved the bathroom. The space itself, however, was not very soundproof, it is a historical building, so it is understandable. The Hotel Decor and Styling is extremely pleasant when you enjoy historic buildings. I really enjoyed the restaurant area. Truly, the restaurant is what set this place over the top for us. The food was 100% amazing! We had breakfast here both days of our stay and it was not only delicious, but unforgettable. Our servers were very nice and the food was worth to raving. If we are ever back in the area (live you from the state) we would definitely want to come back.
