Excellent eating. the seafood paella is the best we had everywhere. carlos, the owner is friendly, excellent English, and helpful with food and wine selection.
For our first night back in Cascais, this was a first visit. This is a small traditional restaurant with simple tables and bent wood chairs. We were warmly greeted by the proprietor on arrival, and despite the restaurant rapidly filling up, he managed to serve us and everybody else in the restaurant really well throughout the evening. I had the seafood paella which is one of their signature dishes on the menu; you can only order it for two, but I skipped the starter and demolished three quarters of it. The seafood included pawns, langoustine, mussels, and squid sublime! Wife and daughter had the pica pau as a starter and then one had bacalao and the other garlic prawns with very good reviews all round. The proprietor recommended the red wine which was excellent 16 euros a bottle. If you would like a really authentic taste of Portugal then Quinto Sabor is the place.
Really lovely place to eat, great menu in a family run restaurant. We ate here on two occasions while staying in the area and I would recommend stopping in for a meal. The paella was delicious.
If you are looking for something quiet and tasty, this is the place. Amazing tártaro tuna and quality bife. Excelente place if you compare the prize and quality. Thanks.
