We were not very hungry so we had the crab meat dip with warm pretzels. There was not much crabmeat, but there was plenty for two and very tasty. We were the only ones seating outside and the service was slow to begin, but we ended up with a great server (Joe) who took great care of us. We were fine with the wait since it was very pleasant looking at the beautiful trees and watching the birds. The inside was loud and rowdy!
Great chicken wings and tortilla soup! VERY loud when full! We moved outside to eat. A great place to end the day.
I haven 't been here in quite a few years, but wanted to take a friend to a nice relaxing lunch the Firewheel Cafe, only to find out that they do not do lunch anymore. So we went to the alternative, the Barrelhouse Bar. I will state right up front that the food was excellent. The brisket sandwich was delicious and the french fries are some of the best I 've ever had. Desserts were good also, coffee was excellent. The service, however, left a lot to be desired. We were seated for about 10 minutes before anyone said a word to us. Drinks; ice tea and coffee, took another 10 minutes. My coffee was served to me in a GO CUP. A GO CUP! I had to ask for a real cup. I had to ask again for sugar and again for a spoon when she did not bring one with the coffee cup. And finally, no pen came with the check; I had to go to the bar to ask for a pen. Do they not teach servers the nuances of serving anymore? Pleased with the food, very disappointed in the service.
Everything was terrible about this place from the hostess, service and food with the exception of the citrus chicken. When it comes to the prices I excepted so much more
Great food. Huge TVs to watch the game. Good drinks. Great service.
