Playa Takeria - Darlinghurst

Some of the best and most authentic Mexican food in Sydney, though be warned their service and space may turn off some. We started off with Playa Guacamole

Just popped my Cinco De Mayo cherry, and now I wonder why I held out for so long.

What a great time we had here celebrating Mexicos "Cinco de Mayo"!! Marauchi band, sombreros, margaritas and tacos.

Unfortunately this is not on my recommendation list . It was difficult to ask for any level of service, we had to ask twice for our guacamole and chips - it finally arrived at the end of the meal and it was obvious by the cold brown avocado that this had been prepared hours ago . And then the corn ..... where not burnt it was raw . An interesting combination . Tacos were soggy and cold. Really wanted to like this place but on this visit it was not to be unfortunately .

Tacos & Margaritas are amazing!! We have a dinner that reminds our times in Mexico City Taquerias. Thanks amigos. Will be back!!
