It is not a tourist restaurant and is situated at 12 Avenue George V.It was full and I am glad we booked. Everyone eating there was French! The service was relaxed and efficient and the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance with lit candles and low lighting. Totally relaxing.I ordered cabaillaude. It tasted delicious ( they will give you a menu in English if you ask). We had a bottle if Picpoul De Pinet and shared a strawberry soup for dessert which was also delicious.)When I return to Dinard I will definitely book there again. 2 course Meal for two with a bottle of wine came to €61 and every euro was well spent. Not suitable for people who want to be seen dining from the street tucking into the contents of a rock pool whilst gazing at the sea! Plenty of those restaurants around near the beach.
We asked our hotel to book us a table at a nearby restaurant and said that we enjoyed fish. We arrived early and when we entered L'Escale a Corto we were given a very friendly welcome but were surprised to find the entire restaurant empty. As has been said by previous TA reviewers, the owner could not have been more helpful and offered to translate some the fish names that we were unsure of Our meal was delicious. I had langoustine in champagne sauce, and could not recommend them more highly. My husband had cod and was very happy with his choice. We then both chose the crumble, which was delicious. I have to add that by the time we left the restaurant it was completely full with a very warm and vibrant atmosphere. We said our goodbyes and thanks to the patron and our friendly waiter. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted a low-key but scrumptious meal.
Not an expert on French food or on the menu of this restaurant. But how lucky can a person be to have perfect dishes for all the three courses! Is it sheer luck or routine standard for the restaurant! Enjoyed the friendly, cosy and welcoming ambiance. Great service, perfect order accuracy despite of big group.Don't know the French names of the dishes but had fish fritters as starter, scallops with orange sauce as main course and apple crumble for the dessert. All superb! But if to rate amongst them, scallops are the winners.
A popular fish restaurant that delivers a laid-back atmosphere in spades. The food was very good, with some unusual and interesting dishes on offer
The welcome was excellent and food ok but the bill came to much more than expected based on our order. They seem very reluctant to produce a fully itemised TVA bill .... my suggestion is to take care with the bill!
