The Yorkshire pudding was tough, the cabbage lacked flavor, and the carrots were overcooked. The pigs in blankets were satisfactory and the crackling was delicious. Unfortunately, the entire meal was served cold. The service was not great, possibly due to short staffing. They started to clear our plates but then served other tables before eventually returning to clear the rest of our table.
Another couple sat at the table next to us and jokingly compared the atmosphere to a Wetherspoons pub. Although the food and service were good, I would not recommend booking here if you are looking for a relaxed evening. I shared my feedback via email the next morning, and the response cited the restaurant's busy season with large camping group bookings and training of new staff. If you are seeking a quiet and peaceful evening meal, I advise against booking here unless you enjoy the chaos of a campsite restaurant with loud noise and barking dogs.
Upon arrival, we found ample parking and a beautifully set table by the window with stunning views. Starters were served promptly, with high praise for the quality and quantity of the dishes. The mains, including the Three Lakes Burger, were delicious and satisfying. The vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free members of our group were equally impressed with their meals. Desserts were a delightful end to the meal, with the option to take leftovers home in provided doggy boxes. The attentive staff checked in throughout the meal, offering great service and a friendly atmosphere. Afterward, we enjoyed drinks on the outdoor veranda, soaking in the lovely weather and views. Overall, our 4 1/2-hour meal was relaxed and enjoyable, thanks to the excellent service from Alex, Kerry, Jemma, and Charly. Many in our party, who had not been to the restaurant before, were pleasantly surprised by the hidden gem. Everyone agreed to return for future visits. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, and polite, making my son's birthday celebration truly unforgettable. Thank you to all at The Three Lakes for a fantastic experience.
Lovely landscape and views on a warm Sunday afternoon. Coffee and chocolate cake were great. Service fast and friendly. Food delivered to other tables looked great and heard lots of positive comments this would encourage me to come again .
Great set up with fishing tackle shop and lakes along side a good sized restaurant with plenty of seating inside and out. The restaurant was well organised and coped easily with our party of 8. Food quality was high, portion sizes very generous and prices reasonable. There is also ample parking on site.
