Pono Ono - Evanston

The food was absolutely delicious and I really loved the presentation and the speed of delivery. I ordered the Shashimi style bowl with salmon and with avocado toppings. It's one of their best sellers and I can vouch for that after tasting it.

They forgot to add the topping (tobbico/fish eggs) but still charged me for it. The containers used for to go orders are a bit leaky given all sauces.

I have celiac disease and love that everything is gluten free (minus one item). The ingredients are so fresh and I love the flavors of each bowl combination!

Like Picnic, this place has great ingredients. Eating vegan, I tend to find out what restaurants have food that stands on its own. Pono Ono is really solid. The fixings are all fresh and the sauces are exceptional. I really loved the gochujang.

Food is fresh and tasty in general. But the rice is kind of dry and not thoroughly cooked. The miso soup is just slightly warmer than room temperature. For Asian soup, it is not the right temperature.
