It's a restaurant I never want to go to again because I complained about it on my way home! The taste and service are the worst... Excellent fresh food, great service for takeout during dinner time. Expect to spend around A$40-60 per person. Overall, top marks for the food, service, and atmosphere.
We chose this restaurant over KFC for dinner on New Year's Day. We ordered two servings of prawn toast, one hot and sour soup, one eight treasures soup, one beef with young corn, one salt and pepper squid, one honey king prawns, and one large rice for a family of four. The total cost was $123.30, and only cash was accepted. When we got home to our local motel while on our way to Queensland, we unpacked and started to serve the food. However, we realized that the beef dish had no corn and there was no rice as we had requested. When we called to address the issue, we were told to come back in. Despite the lack of rice on our order, we were charged $10 for a small portion of fried rice. We asked for a fuel rebate or some prawn chips for the inconvenience, but were declined. The hot and sour soup was good, but the rest of the food was mediocre. The prawns seemed old and leftover, and the squid was soggy. The prawn toast lacked prawns and was disappointing. Our eldest son liked the corn but found the meat to be just okay. We had enjoyed much better Chinese food at a different restaurant the night before. We are not sure if this place was having an off night due to the public holiday or if they were deliberately serving subpar food. Either way, we would not recommend it. Drive a few hours southwest for better Chinese cuisine, or opt for KFC instead. Additionally, the red sauce that came with the prawn toast stained our table and our dog refused to eat it. Very disappointing meal. Ordered chicken noodle satay with friends and all of us are very disappointed with the food we received. I paid $42 for Chicken Satay noodle and wontons. The wontons and spring rolls are obviously bought and frozen, as they are not fresh. They are also over fried. The satay sauce does not taste like satay (nuts), it only tastes like a curry. The noodles taste like spaghetti and are over cooked. My friends also did not enjoy their meals. We will not be eating here again.
