Great place to stay when staying in Galway. Small walk into city center, taxi cheap in and out again. Clean hotel, lovely rooms. Breakfast good value and the staff are great. Three star review for a three star hotel. Breakfast was very good but there were some issues. While I am all for low energy consumption use, the lack of illumination in the room corridors gave the hotel a somewhat weird monastic ambience. It felt like the emergency lighting was on. Same goes for the lack of light bulbs and their wattage in our room. Also, wifi bandwidth was thin in parts of the hotel, including our room, which sometimes lost wifi altogether. Sparsely distributed wifi routers and lightbulbs then through the accommodation floors of the hotel. I asked a Reception staff to see if their was a problem with the third floor lighting but I never received a reply. So three stars also for customer service.
