There’s one cellar door I have visited twice already here in Gippsland and that’s Narkoojee in Glengarry. From Sale it’s about a 40-minute drive, however, it’s only about 15 minutes from Traralgon town centre (which makes it about 2 hours from the Melbourne CBD). I was so impressed with the cellar door tasting I had on the first visit that Mr Spittoon and I made sure we went back for lunch shortly after.

We have had nothing but great feedback from all who attended our event which was held in the barrel room at the vineyard. The food was outstanding. Rarely will there be such a high standard of meals with a function of that number – the chicken that was perfectly cooked, and the proper coffee was nice touch, as were the share salads and amazing crunchy roasted potatoes. The service staff were spot on – not once was my water empty nor my napkin not folded if I left my seat. Nothing to fault!

What a surprise. A great place to stop on the road home to Melbourne. Excellent Italian food, especially the duck tortellini. Great views. Great wine. Cannot fault anything. Thanks David and team at by Jorg

Amazing! The chefs continuously refresh there menu and really try some interesting pairings with there menu that mostly pay off. This place is the peek of my summer and spring Sunday afternoons. Grazing the day and accompanied with Chardonnay by there neighbour winery narkoojee. Outlooking the landscape really highlight what Gippsland offers!

Really lovely lunch and wine tasting. By Jorg restaurant at Narkoojee winery was an excellent location for a leisurely Saturday lunch. We tasted the Narkoojee wines, assisted by the friendly and knowledgeable winery staff, then enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant. The views of the vineyard are lovely, even on a rainy day, the service was good, the food delicious. Good coffee. (Proper Melbourne coffee! And amazing desserts. Really enjoyed it.
