Sizzling Pub - Gloucester

On a Saturday night, my family and I went to this restaurant. There was a long wait for our food, but we were warned about it when we arrived. I understood that it was busy, so I didn't mind waiting. After some time, I asked at the bar while getting more drinks how much longer it would be. The response I received was not very helpful, as the staff member sulked off to the kitchen without checking. Another staff member came to our table and told us it would be another 30 minutes to an hour. I mentioned that we had already waited for that long and asked if it would be the same again, but the response was still unclear. Finally, when the food arrived, it was only lukewarm. My dad's sirloin steak, which he had upgraded, was very fatty and unappetizing. The field mushrooms were missing from our steak dishes, and the onions looked unappetizing as well. When we told the staff about the missing mushrooms, they brought some unappetizing ones at the end of our meal. When we complained to the manager about our bad experience, there was no apology or good customer service. This has been a disappointing experience, and we will not be returning to this restaurant. It's a shame, as I used to enjoy eating here and it's sad to see bad management ruin what should be a wonderful family dining experience.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious! I frequently visit with friends and am always satisfied. The staff are friendly and accommodating, even during busy times. I highly recommend this place!

The food was excellent considering the price! It was clear that the chefs put a lot of effort into preparing and presenting each dish. The bartenders were very friendly and the waitstaff was efficient in delivering everyone's meals at the same time.

Lovely place to eat, food was lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend visiting.

Had a negative experience here a few years back however I feel this establishment has much improved. We done three visits in January alone. On all occasions the food was all piping hot, certainly is not dry January here was busy for the time of...year to. Nice cool cider to I will also add the pricing is very reasonable with what is on offer elsewhere. If I have the energy i rather walk a mile here for a meal and a few pints than order a take away. Will definitely be back and look forward to it.
