Don Corleone - Gondomar

I assume this is the same Don Corleone restaurant, although the address on their business card is Rua da Barrosa, 20 (with same postal code in Valbom). We had lunch here on a sunny, cool day in late summer. The minestrone soup, garlic bread, and mixed salad were all excellent and good value. The diavolo pizza was a bit expensive and could have used more tomato sauce and a crisper crust. The dining room does have a good view, but the windows were dirty, the furniture was somewhat sparse, and there was no A/C in spite of the sun streaming in, making the place feel stuffy. The TV showing music video clips was the only sound sound system. Overall, I wouldn't rush back here but it could be a good option if someone is hungry and in the neighborhood.

Although the pizza was a bit dry and needed more sauce, the staff was friendly. This cute place overlooks the Douro and is in a nice, scenic part of town. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. A bit pricey for what you get though by Portguese standards.

The staff is really friendly, fresh food really well cooked with a relax and pretty environment. Highly recommended!!!

Comidinha italiana (my favorite cozinhada toda ela na hora, em forno a lenha (se pudesse transmitir-vos o cheirinho a lenha mal se entra....mmmmmm e ainda fazem , aos domingos (e feriados comida regional em forno a lenha!
