The bad the food was pricey and all of the dishes we ordered (appetizer and 3 entrees) seemed liked they were premade and perhaps reheated (everyone in our party commented that their dish was lukewarm and bland). Save your money and skip Kai.
My husbands company rented out Kai Eats for several days during the Ironman, so I got to eat here a few times. I experienced different levels of service over those days, from very friendly/helpful/professional to also a bit rude. I would say overall the service was good. The food was great and they have a good American food menu that also includes poke, fresh fish, Hawaiian-style items. The Mai Tai is great (but aren 't they great everywhere in Hawaii? , and I recommend the Coconut Shrimp and Lemon Fries as well as the Poke. This place is very casual and has a wonderful ocean view! Decent happy hour.
There is a reason no local people eat here. The drinks are weak, small portions and staff is all mainland transplants.
Donna was a very pleasant server, had a great attitude, and was a lot of fun. The food was great also. Awesome view!
Great pizza wonderful view. All of the staff were wonderful as well offered great recommendations. They have a great selection of seltzers, ciders, beers. While we normally don't return to a restaurant twice on vacation, we found ourselves at Kai's several evenings.
