Rega Guesthouse - Kampot

This restaurant is a peaceful and serene place with exceptionally friendly staff. The private rooms, equipped with good ventilation and hot water, are situated around a lovely garden area filled with covered seating and beautiful plants. The restaurant and bar offer a slightly pricey but reasonable menu. It is just a short stroll from Kep town, where you can find additional dining options, a market, and street vendors. The beach is approximately 40 minutes away on foot (or a $3 tuk tuk ride), while the entrance to the national park is only a 20-minute walk. This location is perfect for those looking to enjoy a quieter atmosphere away from the beach party scene, yet still close to the sea.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to relax for a few days. It's a bit far from everything, so I would recommend renting a moped to get around. The WiFi connection here is also very good.

The good: very nice restaurant with terrace and garden-like backyard to sit. the bad thing: the sleeping rooms looked pretty messy when I checked in and even the day after. I was offered a bed with smelling and stainy leaves. there was no toilet paper and soap. the location is a little closer to the bus stop, but still in 3 km distance from the beach. there is nothing of a social life around the guesthouse and there is no “hot-spirit”. the fans in the dormitory are very loud. Unfortunately, the administration seems to pay attention only to the restaurant and the private rooms. Conclusion: I wouldn't stay there again, but it was ok for a night.

The room is not so clean. The owner is really strict, but I think it is good.

The staff could be more attentive for cleaning the rooms. Also I was very unpleasantly surprised as somebody took my motorbike helmet which I left together with my luggage in the locked room for baggage. The staff was indifferent and said they cannot do a thing about my missing helmet. Everything there is overpriced.
