Bruni's Restaurant - Kingborough

Telephoned to get a reservation for our high time jubilee / birthday got a strange electronic message so that my details leave but never get an answer so that I thought they are out of the business.

We had dinner at this restaurant one night during our recent stay at Villa Howden. The food was delicious and the restaurant itself was lovely. We also enjoyed having breakfast there every morning.

Beautiful location with thewent view and dining with interior and exterior over a lush garden. many parking spaces and easy to find directly on the channel highway. we were surprised that there were only 2 tables of guests on a Friday evening in the januar. Since...so we were undoubtedly a set menu of three cures with a glass wein $75. between us tried everything offered, and it was fresh and tasty. we were not offered pre- or post-dinner drinks. a very conscientious cook and wait the staff. the villa is charming, spacious and friendly furnished. the cutlery/table settings are not really up to the standard of the villa or cook. would like to return and try a la carte meal sometime, or the high tea. Maybe they will stay over and enjoy the breakfast on the terrace.

The granola and oatmeal porridge were overly sweet and drowned in syrup. The breakfast sausage tasted artificial and the speck was dry and lacking in flavor. This meal was not a good representation of a quality breakfast; it was processed and overpriced.

It is a fixed menu with only 2 choices although both were very high quality and delicious. Good range of local wines as well.
