I highly recommend the traditional Japanese set meal at this restaurant. The quality is excellent and although it may be a bit expensive, it is definitely worth it. The setting is beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service.

I stumbled upon this restaurant after learning that Shigetsu (another vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the area) required reservations during peak season. Although the staff's English was a bit limited, they made a great effort to communicate using Google Translate. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our party of four was recommended to order 2-3 portions to share. The lunch set menu consisted of multiple courses, each with a detailed description in English. The portions were generous and refillable, so sharing is recommended. The restaurant is located near the front gates of Tenryu-ji temple, with traditional Japanese dining rooms featuring pillows and tatami mats overlooking a peaceful garden. The breathtaking view offers a peaceful escape from the crowds and tour buses.

Came here for lunch with my mom and our tour guide. BEAUTIFUL restaurant with great food. It's a little more expensive as compared to the other vegan restaurants I went to in Japan, but the food is great and the experience is well worth it!

Nice healthy meals. Very nice people. Fantastic scenery. Great to try diffferent food.
