Luisa's Place - Lagoa

Was our first time dining at Luisa’s despite spending a lot of time in Carvoeiro. There were 4 of us dining . Service was great as was the pasta and pizza’s we ordered . Lots of toppings on the pizza’s and a decent size . Probably one of the best if not the best pizza I’ve had in Carvoeiro . Will be back

Our group of 4 couples have gone twice to this restaurant in Sesmarias,Carvoeiro as the atmosphere and food deserved a second visit.The pasta and lasagna plates were delicious,lamb chops and chicken tasty. The owner is very welcoming and fun.You should make a reservation,as worth a visit.

The worst meal I have ever had in Portugal. We ordered the chops and prawns. We waited 1 hour and 20 mins for our meal. My friend ordered the chops which we would say we’re over cooked and tasteless. I had ordered the Tiger prawns for €22.50. It stated on the menu that the prawns were accompanied with salad. I would say I received a salad accompanied with Tiger prawns. I received 4 small prawns. The prawns were flavoursome but were certainly not worth the wait or what I paid for them. When the waiter (I think who was the owner or manager) asked if it was worth the wait, I politely told him the truth. I said I had only received 4 prawns and I felt it was not worth it. He did not like the comments and proceeded to cause a scene. I was absolutely flabbergasted and asked him not to cause a scene only to be told it was me causing the scene. He, then chose to ignore us for the rest of the night banging our bill down on our table and swiping our half drank bottle of water off our table before we had finish. The chairs were really uncomfortable too. A great No No from me. I definitely won’t be back and I would recommend that you skip this restaurant if you want a decent meal.

For anyone staying near or a drivable distance this is an amazing little gem of a restaurant. Delicious fresh food, pizza made in front of you, impeccable friendly service and outstanding value. Our favourite place to eat . Thankyou to all for making us so welcome and looking after us so well. We can’t recommend Lusia’s place highly enough.
