It was also air conditioned , which with the weather being warm and humid, was a wonderful surprise. We had requested breakfast when we made our reservation. So glad we did! It's made to order and delicious. Unfortunately we had plans to meet friends for breakfast two mornings and told the folks before hand so they didn't expect us, There are several public areas where coffee or water is available. We will return.
This was my and my fiance's second stay at the Vermont Inn. We had the pleasure of meeting Josh and Micki, the new innkeepers of the Inn. We stayed in the white birch suite. The bed was extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was perfect. Everything exceeded our expectations. Josh went above and beyond to help us find good fishing spots in the area and made me a wonderful gluten-free breakfast both mornings of our stay. They also had a variety of suggestions for local restaurants. The inn has a sunroom where you can read, play family games or put in a movie and snuggle on the couch. They also have a game room that offers foosball and air hockey. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we cannot wait to return. The only downside was that we had to leave.
Part business, part vacation. The Inn is the perfect place to do both. It's quiet and relaxing allowing you to focus on work when you need to. For play, you have a pool, hiking (skiing in winter). Breakfast was outstanding with Pancakes, sausage, and fresh fruit, omelets, French toast and bacon...perfect start to the day. Micky and Josh are super friendly, knowledgeable about the area and great hosts! Highly recommend the Vermont inn
The calm, quiet weekday stay at the inn was just what we needed! The innkeepers were very respectful of our time, needs and even prepared us a “to go” breakfast as we headed to the airport before blast time. The inn grounds are lovely with beautiful grass and flowers! The inn itself is just that a simple, rustic inn, no real frills. Coffee and tea are available always, loads of books and games to explore. They were working on the pool, but got it resolved while we were there.Mickey andJosh we’re delightful and made the stay nice! I won two nights at the inn thru a travel auction supporting Boykin Spaniel Rescue, my favorite charity! Any group that supports or gives back has my allegiance- thanks Vermont Inn!
The Vermont Inn was not what it was cracked up to be.The hot tub… Not open…. The Bed.. feels like a bird nest, the middle is way to sunken… The hallways.. Too skinny for 2 people to walk down…The walls.. Super thin. The food is Expensive and small portions. If you book on tripadvisor your meals are NOT free (which was not listed online). Lastly, they are not completely dog friendly like They state on Tripadvisor. Since the Tripadvisor stated that it was dog friendly.. You would think the building is dog friendly. I booked our room 3 months in advance and left a note on the trip advisor for The Vermont Inn that we will be bringing our two dogs. I used to run a hotel and know that the tripadvisor shows the notes to the hotel.. They denied seeing a note and that Tripadvisor does not do that, WRONG! At check in the Hosts Watched us walk the dogs into the hotel and even greeted us all. They decided to not say anything to us when we were checking in about our dogs. They waited for us to stay a whole night and then decided to kick us out and not refund us for our WEEK vacation. After a long discussion they refused to refund us and tripadvisor was no help either. Then, they proceeded to bill us an extra 100 dollars, as if keeping $900 dollars wasn't enough! All in all I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Even if you don't have a dog the hotel is not worth it. They stole all of our money and didn't care. We then had to cancel our Christmas Vacation and drive home because of how inconsiderate and money hungry The Vermont Inn was.
