L'Angelus - Metz

Every year while visiting Metz, we dine in this cosy restaurant. The food has always been very good. The only minus is that in summer the staff is a bit overchallengend when restaurant full. But without any hurry no problem.

I sat looking at the Cathedral for my meal. The server was kind and she helped picking out my meal. The egg on a pool of pea puree was amazing and the veal was nice, though a little tough. I greatly enjoyed the meal and...would recommend to others.

This place is now called L 'Assiette Le Verre . It was one of the few restaurants open for Sunday Lunch in Metz. I had duck and it was delicious. Service was great and the place has a very elegant decor. Location is excellent, just down...the road from the Cathedral.

We enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant but we definitely waited too long for the food to arrive (at least 1 h between entree and main course). It was clearly understaffed as there was just one waitress to serve at leadt 30 people. Prices are...good and nice view on the cathedral.

Don't expect to have a superb food experience, although You can expect a excelente service provided by an excelent waitress.
