Excellent, impeccable service.
Long story short: me and my girlfriend were really hungry after all day at the beach and decided to try Princpe because of its nice outside sitting area. Waiter that showed us the table was obviously having a bad day beacuse we never got a smile or even a whole sentence out of him, He did rush us to order, wasn 't helpfull explaing what dishes were available after my first choice turned out to be finished and was in so much hurry to be done with us that didn 't bother to double check the order. We enquired about the food after 40 minutes of waiting, seeing as the other customers were getting their dishes in less time. The waiter didn 't even come to the table to talk to us but shouted 'arriva, arriva ' from the other side of the restaurant. All together we waited an hour and when first dish arrived we took the liberty to ask about the rest ordered two pizzas and pasta to share) which resulted in one pizza being dropped down on the table without a word after few more minutes. As I asked would the other pizza be long he started shouting at me that I didn 't order anything else. At that stage we weren 't going to stay there and eat anything so I asked for the bill for drinks which only caused more shouting. I went inside to pay and used translator on my phone to explain why we won 't pay for food but as the person on behind the till waved at our Mr Happy To Help to sort it out, we had to listen to some more raise voiced Italian. In the end we got charged 10, 50 for drinks and 4 euro service charge since the waiter wouldn 't stop with his 'COPERTO! '. I never got treated this way for trying to get a meal and still can 't believe that we actually left the service charge. The fact that everyone around was staring at us didn 't help either. So if you 're looking for a nice restaurant in Palermo, this is definitely not the place to go.
We went to this restaurant without any knowledge about reviews. Turned out is was one of the best dinners we had in Palermo! We had the caponata and bruschette for starters and both had some pasta for main course. Both dishes were very good, both in taste and portion size. Carafe of wine was pretty OK as well. The service was as apparently typical in Sicily pretty rushed and not super friendly. But the service was quick in comparison with the service of its neighbor Vino Pomodori (dirty dishes were taking away 30 minutes after finishing dish and we waiting 45 minutes for the check and we asked 3 times.... I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family!
