Warm Welcoming And Friendly - Pendle

The hosts were excellent and created a warm, friendly atmosphere. We always receive a warm welcome here! The White Lion is a historic, traditional inn that has been updated but still maintains its charm. During our recent visit on a Sunday evening, we enjoyed a live acoustic music event that takes place there monthly. The pub also provided delicious pizzas for the musicians. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and generous. I would highly recommend this place.

Very nice pub but the beer (choice of hand pulled) between Xmas and new year was awful. Won't be rushing back.

Tried to come to this pub with my friends for a drink before we went into town, unfortunately we got told to leave before we’d even entered the premises. We are all of age but wasn’t even asked that question before we entered. When asked...why we needed to leave we were told ‘ta ra’. We were treated unfairly and judged on our age. I feel solely disappointed.

I only have positives for this wonderful Pub/Restaurant. Upon walking in either outside in a lovely area) or inside everyone said hello..wow such a friendly lovely pub!..All the Staff are so accommodating and they treat customers like family. The Landlords are really lovely and...friendly...they go the extra mile to make the community and anyone who visits a most wonderful time. There are lots of things going on at weekend and Quiz on Thursdays which is great fun. The food is totally fantastic..well done to their fab Chef..Well done guys i'm sure The White Lion will go from strength to strength. We are looking forward to our next visit, i'm sure there will be lots of things going on and the bonus is the super food.

I went for a stroll in the afternoon and decided to stop in for a drink. I was welcomed by the friendly staff and saw other customers with their dogs. This might not be everyone's preference, but I enjoyed it. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, similar to a good local pub. Although I didn't have a meal, I noticed they had an extensive menu. They offered a good selection of ales and I felt very welcomed. I had a pleasant couple of hours catching up with a friend.
