Always a homey time in a historic bar the town has enjoyed for years and years. Great food, clean, service is great, meat raffle fun, come on in! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

My husband went to the bar to order drinks for himself and the kids while we found a table. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we needed anything. I requested menus, but our server didn’t seem particularly happy to be there. After taking our order, it took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive, which was reasonable for the wait time. However, no one checked on us to see if we needed anything else, like drinks. After waiting for 13 more minutes without seeing anyone, we decided to just eat and leave. My husband ordered the blue cheese burger, which was supposed to come with chunks of blue cheese, but there were none—just a dressing that was overwhelming. He ended up scraping off the dressing and dousing the burger in ketchup since it was overcooked, and he hadn’t been asked how he wanted it prepared. My daughter had the chicken and mushroom sandwich; while the mushrooms were good, the chicken was dry and difficult to chew. I had the walleye sandwich, which was actually quite tasty—that’s the only reason I gave the food two stars. The kids were tired and hungry, so we decided not to send any of the food back. My daughter had to track someone down for boxes and the check because we weren’t checked on at all during our meal. When my husband finally got someone’s attention to pay, they were kind enough to take two of our meals off the bill, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning. It was a very disappointing experience for our family.

On October 1st, 2023, at 2:00 PM, we had a wonderful first experience at Pat's. The server, who also acted as the bartender and cook, was friendly and attentive. She recommended the blue cheese burger and the walleye sandwich, both of which were delicious! An added bonus was that we visited during a Vikings game and enjoyed free drinks whenever they scored. I would highly recommend Pat's in Pierz! Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.
