Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónAfter an outstanding few drinks at a wine bar (no name evident) opted for this restaurant based on the speakeasy style graphic on the exterior. Inside rather austere heavy furniture Italian. The server spoke only German and Italian, so the chef gamely volunteered to translate the menu. The German welcome should have perhaps been a red flag. It fast became evident that the food was geared towards German taste with deep fried products and total lack of flavour nuance. Raw walnuts that pitiably, most rancid of nut adorned the uninspiring Gorgonzola dish. My glass of red wine poured from the end of a previously opened bottle that had already oxidised summed up the economic desperation of places that still exist, post COVID. I did not complain for that reason, but as international tourist return, they need to up their game.
Food was good, pasta as well as meat, even above average for Porretta, however still not something I will never forget although it had some spirit in it. And a feeling that cook tried to add certain specific individual note into the dish. Service was ok, with some strange combination of young waiters who was generally friendly but still somehow not really mentally present and older, gray hair guy who was little less friendly, but gave that something to the space. Overall, with its strange location (almost in the very city center, with lot of public parking spots around the restaurant), specific service and relatively good food, it is a space you could visit while you are in porretta.
Also if I spent the last 30 years or so all around the world I am a true Italian, a Bolognese, and once a year I visit Italy. I own a restaurant in the Kenya Coast, TA N1 from the last five years and I am proud to say I have clear idea of fine dining and traditional cuisine, wines selection and trattoria concept, my best compliments to Gianni, the Trattoria delle Tele owner for his culinary art, his capacity of blending local products and traditional recipes in an harmonic fine dining expression at a very, very much affordable way. Bravo Gianni, see u next year. Out of two weeks in the area I have been there with friends and guest more than ten time, I higly reccomend this restaurant to all visitors.
Personale gentile e disponibile.
