I'm sorry but this is not the best crawfish ever. This place disappointed me for the second time. Ordered hot or extra spicy with a group at 5 pounds at a time( big group) the seasoning is on the outside. Anyone from Louisiana knows that the seasondoes not go on the outside. And then there is no spice. They serve the spicy with a jalapeno ??????????? I guess that's whatmakes it spicy. Don't get me wrong. They are a nice size. But they do not soak them. Soaking is the key. Period....cook them inplain water and salt. Then soak for 5 to 10 min in seasoning pot. And try a different season. Their season has sugar. Ain'tnothing spicy when u add sugar
I've lived in this area for most of my life and had always heard great things about Hawk's, but I never tried it until some co-workers invited me while I was in town for work. The crawfish were decent, but it seemed like most people were there for the drinks and the lively crawfish experience. If that's what you're looking for, it's worth a visit. However, if you're in search of better crawfish, there are other places nearby that might be more enjoyable.
I've tried nearly every restaurant you can imagine in South Louisiana, and I can confidently say that you won't find better crawfish étouffée anywhere else. The crawfish was outstanding, the shrimp was amazing, and the breadfruit was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful meal, excellent service, and a great experience!
My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a generally good experience. Our waitress was excellent, and the Cajun decor was quite nice. However, the food was a different story. The crawfish were large and clean, but they were ridiculously overpriced at $7 a pound, while the market price is currently around $1.50. I decided not to order any for myself because I found them to be quite under-seasoned. Interestingly, my wife thought they were fantastic—she’s from the North, by the way. I ordered the étouffée with shrimp, which was satisfying but nothing more than that.
