After we had experienced a pure disappointment on the eve of the Zahm Inn, we were allowed to enjoy a first-class food in the restaurant mentioned above. A super delicate calf carving, tastefully very good, was served with first class prepared roast potatoes. My acquaintance chose the pork steak in Dijonsenf sauce. Also top-class!!! The previously enjoyed appetizers, avocado with salmon as well as lion tooth salad with liver paste dumplings, simply super. Everything was fresh and handcrafted. This kitchen is flattering. The price-performance ratio absolutely super. We were here for the first time, but certainly not for the last time. WEITER SO, dear operator.
We visited the restaurant in a barely known corner in Saarbrücken. DIe service was friendly and quick. Our drinks (1 non-alcoholic wheat beer and 1 currant juice choir) and the greeting from the kitchen (Oliven and herbal cucumber) came to the table very quickly. For me a pumpkin cream soup, then 1 scavenger with roast potatoes for my husband and for me pasta with seedlings. Two Espressi and the bill.
In terms of management, a lot can be improved here, when checking reservations and subsequent response, the exact reading of the customer's request can be advantageous, especially if it is the date. On our arrival, 2 operators were present in the garden terrace, but they did not pay attention to us. I was destined for my demand in the interior of the restaurant by the boss, but not just friendly, to point out that “the girls” would already assign the reserved table to me outside. What happened then, however, we had to dodge on another table 10 minutes after taking the place, because the one we sat on was intended for some “masterships” that had chosen exactly this table. It was the boss who apologised for the inability of his staff several times. All these unfortunate circumstances did not exactly agree with us. The more surprised we were about the excellent cuisine, summer salad and grilled sardines were of excellent quality. For dessert we have chosen an apple sorbet with cidre, very refreshing. But again a small girl: instead of €4.80 for the sorbet we were invoiced €6.90. Unfortunately, we only found this at home.
It's nice to sit outside. The boss is super nice and right now. A small display on the table offers current drinks. On a board at the entrance the current dishes, all very nice. You sit wonderfully. I ordered a drink, made me a cigar, a ashtray was on the table. I sat on edge, even because that was the only free table. It wasn't very early in the evening. That's what the head of the house says to me two times that it could be that the cigar would bother someone. Why, is there an ashtray? Does a sober cigarette smoker of paper and chemistry burn? I'm very disappointed, because the next guests were well 6 meters away. And at the house there is a road, which is still constantly driven, which of course does not bring a co2 value. No one said what, on the contrary, at the table behind me someone sat down, although much was free at the moment. You can also annoy guests without any reason.
