Lalande - Saint-Eustache

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait nearly an hour for our table. It was very noisy and the hostesses seemed disorganized. The food was okay, but the portions were small and we had to ask multiple times for refills. The service was polite and fairly quick, but with the large size of the restaurant, it was difficult to receive good service. Overall, it was more expensive compared to similar restaurants.

I spent three days with a group of 180 people who were staying in their motorhomes but were having their meals in one of the many dining rooms at the Maple Sugar Shack. The Sunday brunch was excellent. The dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings were very good. They were served hot even though the group was large. Good service. The location is on the edge of a forest and offers a peaceful place close to the city. Excellent for family gatherings.

We went there for a surprise birthday brunch and it was great. it was a buffet style and there was all kinds of option even if you have food restriction. We were about 30 and had a semi private space. Perfect place when there's a lot of kids since they have place to run.

Accompanied by my sister and brother-in-law, we went there for dinner. I love going to Lalande because of the delicious taste of their omelette. We enjoyed the pickled red onions, pickled gherkins, and their famous cretons, followed by the delicious pea soup. We had the choice between boiled potatoes or fries fried in oil. The always delicious omelette satisfied us. The pork rinds are always a must, as well as the little sausages in maple syrup. For dessert, we chose between pancakes and an egg cooked in syrup. The highlight of the meal is the maple taffy on snow. A bit thicker than maple syrup, it is so good that I had it 4 times. The service was perfect. The place is open from mid-February to the end of April for sugar shack meals and year-round for weddings and receptions.

Les salles sont grandes et on peut prendre le temps que l'on désire pour manger. Nous sommes assis sur des chaises et non des bancs. La nourriture est excellente à la bonne température, et ce, à volonté pour la période des sucres. Les prix sont abordables et le service impéccable.En dehors de la saison des sucres il y a aussi des réceptions avec menu variés au goût du client.
