Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónFor my 50th birthday, I could have eaten anywhere. In fact, we had a 3-star Michelin resto lined up, but I decided I wanted nothing fussy...just delicious, authentic cuisine of Brittany. We have eaten many, many crêpes all over France and in Brittany, and these are the real deal. High quality ingredients, nice ambience and decor, broad menu selection and attentive service made our experience just perfect. I can recommend Creperie St Sat with the utmost confidence ;) We will definitely be back!
Usually, crêpes are found in Normandy, in the north of France, though they have migrated to large cities like Paris as well. One doesn't expect to find them in Provence, the heart of the south of France. Happily, one finds excellent crêpes at this little gem in the village of St. Saturnin lès Avignon. Master crêpe maker Jean-Claude Souiller makes both sweet (dessert) and "salty", i.e. main course crêpes with a variety of tasty fillings. The crêperie suffered a fire about two years ago and was closed for over a year during renovations. It re-opened in Feb. 2017 with a modern and sleek décor, a shorter but definitely adequate menu of crêpe choices, a large variety of the traditional cider plus wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Pizza is no longer an option, as the older Trip Advisor title of the restaurant suggests. It's now only crêpes, and excellent ones. There is an interior dining room, an enclosed patio, and a large outdoor seating area around a pool; this latter area is open during the warm weather months. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal on the enclosed patio in the company of a number of other diners. Service was efficient and friendly, and the owner / master crêpe maker came out to wish one young patron a happy birthday. If you are in the area and want a taste of genuine Normandy crêpes, this is the place to go! The restaurant is open evenings only (starting around 7:00 p.m.) and is closed Wednesdays. I checked the box below saying that the restaurant is wheelchair accessible because it would be possible to get a wheelchair onto the patio outside or in; be aware that the driveway itself is quite steep and would be a challenge for someone to push a wheelchair. There is limited parking right at the restaurant (1-2 spaces on a sloping driveway); otherwise, parking is available about 150 feet away on the street.
Delicious Provençal foods very friendly service, and lovely crepes. Will be back again! In fact going again tonight .....
Very nice place by the pool, terrace in the shade. Had both galettes and crepes and everything was excellent. Bernadette welcomes you and makes you feel at home while Jean-Claude cooks for you. Can't wait to go back when I return.
A restaurant located in the heart of Provence just a stonethrow of Avignon. You will undoubtedly taste the best pancakes ever ! You will enjoy the mustachioed Chef's friendliness. We had a wide choice among the Oceane and the Gratinée , all served with a delicious cider ...and we could not resist the wonderful ice creams to finish a meal which, in the end, cost very little money for the service and the quality . This place is a must and should not be missed during your stay in the Avignon area.
