Procurávamos algo diferente para jantar e a decisão caiu neste restaurante. Uma desilusão! Comida sem sabor e sem nada de especial, longo tempo de espera (mais de uma hora Ver todas las opiniones.
By far the best restaurant in Seixal, maybe the best on the Margem Sul. It is much better than the vast majority of Italian restaurants in Italy there is not much of a restaurant scene there outside Sicily). So what has Seixal done to deserve such a gem? Well, a young Englishman, Simon, who worked with one of that country's best chefs, Glynn Purnell, teamed up with his local girlfriend to set up this place in one of the most unprepossessing locations in this much overlooked city. Not that it is a bad location it is just that Seixal has many better. But if food is your priority this is the place to go. The pizzas are among the best you can have anywhere thanks to a great wood oven and impeccable judgement re the toppings. The pastas never disappoint. But the crowning glory is the Miale a pork belly accompanied by a jus so rich it would provide sufficient comfort in the Arctic let alone a temperate January in southern Portugal. Never mind that it will soon give way to a dish more suitable for the glorious Spring that is on the horizon, for chef Simon's creativity will surely provide a worthy meaty replacement. You absolutely must go there. I do not hand out such compliments readily, I am neither English nor have I any connection with the chef or his Portuguese girlfriend I only point this out because I am not given to such effusive reviews and I would normally be suspicious of such).
I visited this restaurant with family during my holidays in Portugal and was pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Seixal. We were lucky to have the chef Daniel Ferreira curate our meal with his recommendations and we loved every dish that was served. The highlight for me were the Moelas, but really everything we ate was top class. 5/5 Will come back whenever I'm in Portugal again.
