The waitress here was extremely rude. With us ignored for the majority of time we were at the café. After a long time I ordered a Chai latte that says in the menu, it is tea with milk and received a coffee latte with a hint of Chai. When I asked the waitress, she scrubbed her shoulders and said that I had to read German (even if a German spokesman read with us and confirmed that this is what the menu said), she was very rude. I returned the chai latte unconsumed and asked if I had something else because I had no coffee she refused us and avoids the rest of our visit. Then we asked for the bill she brought twenty minutes, and would not let us pay for the change and blame us for the Chai-Latte I had returned. She rolled her eyes a lot and was very rude with us. Would not recommend this cafe at all and would suggest that the cafe owners look at their employees.
Nice place and was looking forward to having a coffee and cake here. We sat and waited for age. We just wanted to get out when someone finally took our job. When our order came there was missing 1 of our drinks there were only 2 of us). will not disturb go back
Beautiful small café, interestingly decorated. Great service and the strudel was delicious. Coffee and hot chocolate very good
Whenever we have been able to stay in St Gilgen, we have always spent time in Cafe Nannerl of an evening. The service is typically Austrian quite relaxed, so don't be in a hurry! The white hot chocolate is out of this world a scrumptious holiday treat! The Cafe Nannerl has a lovely position in the middle of St Gilgen, ideal if you are staying nearby. The owner speaks great english too! For us Cafe Nannerl is part of the beauty of St Gilgen.
