I immediately knew it wasn't a real Vietnamese coffee. it did not come out in a slow drip and it was already done. the Vietnamese coffee is a delicate, like Cuban coffee. it must be done a certain wise way to get the strong taste. it takes 10 minutes to make, so in the table it is still in slow drip. I took one swallow and it was watered and burned. I asked for more condensed milk (not arrived). then I asked to return my drink and my waitress took him. we ordered 2 pho (1 specialty and 1 with meat/meat balls) and 1 vermicelli noodles with egg roll, grilled garnel and grilled pork. the herb came out first. it was devastated and brown (we received 2 plates of it). I understand that some special Asian crimped hard to come. So I'm gonna deal with the Thai basilikum that looks sad. there was no apology for our cilantro to get wild and brown (you can get it everywhere). that tells me that they don't keep the crumblers properly. that makes me think of a few things: did they even have to clean it (or other food items,) what other corners are they cutting and allowed to eat? our main dishes: the pho was blande (missing the right taste for pho,) I am not surprised if she used a powder, instead of properly cooking bark bones for the broth. my family had to drown the pho in Hoisin sauce to have a taste. even then we could not finish this sad excuse for a bowl pho. the vermicelli nudel was underused and old. fresh and properly cooked/purchased vermicelli should not be curv and almost crispy. Grilled pork was dry and egg rolls were soggy. I could not eat the noodles and did not dare to eat any veggies (for it was unclean and will make me sick to drive the rest of the road to home). When we asked about the check, I asked the waitress why was the coffee still on my ticket? she said it because I took one of them. I explained that I took exactly one swallow and returned because: it was not slower dripping (as I was informed) tasted disgusting and I never received my condensed milk (as I wanted). she rolled her eyes on me and went away. we paid the corrected ticket and got it out. we were sad that la dalat wasn't open, because I'm sure we got better food there. we like to support? mom and pop? especially during such a hard time. but this visit had a bad customer service and even worse food.
Very sweet waitress. courteous and prompt service. szechuan bark was delicious. the edible soup was plentiful.
My husband and I go to Saigon fairly often. Very clean and friendly establishment with very good food and great selections.
Our favorite place to eat? delicious steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, spring rolls, egg rolls and fried calamari are a must try! My husband?s favorite is special fried rice or the chicken curry. My personal favorite is the ph1 or the spicy chicken fried rice. And we definitely recommend this place! Amazing staff and great prices?
