Small, lovingly designed restaurant with excellent Thai cuisine. our 'out of country' guests has tasted, and my 'heikler' has not had any magical problems after that. that speaks for a kitchen where is really cooked with fresh ingredients. friendly service. small, lovingly decorated restaurant...with excellent thai cuisine. out of town guests loved it and my 'difficult ' guest had absolutely no problems afterwards. that means that really ingredients fresh are being used. friendly service. Highly recommended!

We took a short Uber ride to Ruen Thai today, prior to our tour at the Lindt Home of Chocolate. The food was absolutely amazing in terms of authenticity, taste and presentation. Our server was from Phuket (very friendly and attentive) and she recommended two...dishes based on our interest and spice level. Wife had Red Curry with Chicken and Pineapple. I had Green Curry with Chicken and Veggies. We’d come back again in a heartbeat!!

One of my all time favorite restaurants! The staff is incredible, like in old time movies. Very nice atmosphere, big menu, excellent food. Really couldn't be better! It's a must try! The prices are not the lowest but worth every penny! The place that you...cannot get bored of! Thank you for the constant quality!

... are the best soulfood ever! Better than any doctor when you had a bad day, or feel your tummy is troubled. Or just crave delicious quality Thai food with a very sophisticated use of spices.The first thing when you enter: that subtle warm smell of curry. Aaaahhh . Now it's to choose from the wonderful menu, which holds more to it than just curries (albeit they are exceptional) or any Thai restaurant standards. The octopus entrée is highly recommended as is the fish curry... as also the delicate spring rolls... and well. Everything. Very friendly host family, have been here for decades. They cook with fresh ingredients, change parts of the menu regularly and take a lot of pride in their beautiful restaurant which is of a certain timeless casual elegance combined with cultural Thai elments. On a hot summer day, the cool stone terrace offers shade and fresh air. (They also run the simple yet excellent popular lunch take-away on Badenerstrasse).

My wife and I had chance to come back to Thalwil again this year and very glad to visit Ruen Thai to try a wonderful Thai food again.This time we even enjoyed more nice dishes from new cook and his team.We would like to recommend some tasty dishes, i.e. fry beef with black pepper, fry pork lever with Chinese vegetable.
