Rathaus - Thun

Chose this restaurant due to its location next to the tranquil lake and the reviews. Firstly this is not an Italian restaurant. The food was bland had no seasoning, I had margarita, it has no basil, no oregano etc. the base was not soft or fluffy. I struggled to finish it. The salads looked basic so I’m glad I didn’t order it. The manager would not allow us to sit outside because of the “rain”, despite having umbrellas and seating, he allowed others to sit there. Soft drinks were flat, service was ok. We skipped dessert and went pass the ferris wheel near the bridge for some lovely dessert. There are many Italian restaurants/pizzerias in this area so I will try them instead.

Nice restaurant in the city centre. The dishes are mostly driven from the Italian tradition but there are also some Swiss delicacies such as Rösti. The waiters here are professional and the food is noteworthy. To be taken into account when looking for a place to eat in Thun
