Crisp Dry - Torridge

Good fish and chips, nicely cooked. they were ready to the time they said it was and they couldn't stop apologising for the waiting period, even though I was getting up early. I'll be good for more.

Very good fish but the chips could have been better. They were a bit pale and for me, could have done with a bit longer in the oil. Also I expected more for a large portion at £2.60. Excellent fish though :

My family and I have eaten here numerous times, everything has always been delicious. The food tastes fresh, cooked well, and the staff are always polite and friendly. The portions are also quite generous and I've not experienced the food being too oily/greasy which some chippies can suffer from. Best chip shop in Holsworthy :

Have a cod, squid and jumbo sausages that I share with my little dog peaches. all delivered perfectly boiled and very hot. has luke their supplier, for which nothing is too much annoying. there would be 10 stars if I could. many thanks.

As holsworthy exile, who lives in Belgium, I always look at some traditional fish and chips when I return home. the fish here was super quality and perfectly cooked. I didn't order chips because I wasn't so hungry, but with my "expert Belgian eye for fries", I could see that they were also very good, and cooked with the Belgian double-brown method.
