Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe visited this restaurant for lunch with some of my colleagues at work. When Monday the place was pretty quiet. I started with the soup of the day, which was a pumpkin soup with what I think caramelized onion, which was very good.... For the main, I ordered the catch of the day, the grilled salmon with boiled carrots, asparagus and beans. The salmon was cooked very well, but I found the sauce a bit too hard to be with the butter. Lunch came with a dessert, a competition four, which was chocolate glazed cake with almond. This petit four was excellent, and I loved it. The staff was very polite and friendly, which made us very comfortable. Overall a very nice restaurant to relax and a nice meal with friends.
I came to dinner. This restaurant has a beautiful terrace overlooking a parking lot. It is on the main road to Varennes, so it is in a convenient location. I started with a roasted piece of bread with asparagus/prosciutto and melted cheese... splashing on bread. It was okay, not wow. For the main dish I had the grilled salmon with a delicious red sauce, this was actually decadent. My staff had the meatballs and French fries and honestly I found the meatballs a bit dry. French fries were very good. For dessert we had a small square cake with a white sauce, it was nice. A beautiful restaurant experience in the town of Varennes.
The owners are well known and have nothing to envy in my opinion, some of the great names of the city of montréal. in the did they use to directly at the site of the old harbour of montreal before le marché bonsecour. but. I think they prefer the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of a small city. we always have something else and ask the owner benoit to choose for us and recommend the weeping. finally, is a sommelier. he knows much more than me. from the oysters in the season (in my opinion according to under the top 3 I had ever had, near julian serano in vegas,) champaign with the little ones. to molecular kitchen and vacuum cooking. It's just enough to get rid of you. the most difficult thing I think is to resist trying everything on the menu. ask for the monthly special template. you always find the menu: bark, fish, huh, salate. no question asked, they just have to go there. also try their newly opened bar 'la mechante viré ''' next to restaurant: 1463 local 103, boulevard Lionel-Boulet, varennes, qc J3X3P7 Phone:(450) 985-1421
Excellent food with wonderful service. beautiful selection of dressed, fresh and innovatiw with local products. a little too much fat for me, but I'm a purist.
Great experience, quality, prices! The restaurant is in Varennes 25 minutes from Montreal, but the quality is as good as the best of the City
