Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónMy fiancée and I went to try them out December 2022. After one bite, we turned to each other, remarked wow! and instantly decided to hire them as our caterer (for June 2024). Since then, we have stopped in several times for quality control (as we like to joke) and each time the quality of the tacos *and the sauces* continue to amaze us. Could not recommend enough.
They don’t provide water. I ordered a burger and my burger patty fell apart. On some orders you can not substitute even though it is not mentioned. They don’t have ranch but it’s in the Midwest!!! I would not recommend or come back.
Driving up to the place from Google maps on our way home, we assumed something was wrong. This is an American Legion. Luckily we saw the tiny paper sign that said Taco Bien in the window and went in. The menu was amazing, the service friendly, and the food was delicious. There are tacos, burgers and more, with some delicious brisket options, and lots of tasty sauces. What a hidden gem!Dietary restrictions: Menu is clearly labeled for dietary restrictions.
This was a great place to eat. We had the Birria tacos. There were 6 different sauces to choose from where the range was from low to high heat. My wife and I thought the Birria tacos were best tacos we’ve ever had and we go to a lot of taco places. I also had the brisket taco and it was delicious as well. However, I thought the Birria taco was so much better. The taco shells we had are corn based and soft shell. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake and was crazy delicious. My wife and gobbled it down so fast! The owner was great to talk to as well. He was very easy to talk to and provided us with great places to check out.I gave the place 4 stars because it was hard to find in Lonsdale. The restaurant was inside the VFW and there was just a little piece paper on the window of the door. However, the place was a real gem of a find and I highly recommend the place. We will be going back to try many of the other dishes offered.
Taco Bien has been on my “gotta check out the tacos” list for awhile now. Residing in Iowa and often driving to the Twin Cities to catch some good music I seem to never have time to take that exit off of 35. But here I am in the parking lot of the American Legion wondering what the!!?! Yes indeed Taco Bien is inside. Almost like a ghost kitchen but you can dine there. Their separate entities but share the space. Great idea from the proprietors of these businesses. It that wood paneled interior with military pics on the wall and a sign in book damn good coming from the kitchen. Beverages are ordered from the Legion Club and food from Taco Bien. The menu is creative yet simple and for authentic taco lovers TB has some good ones. At 4 bucks a pop my frugal side knows that’s high end but I’ve heard good things. I had asada, brisket which both were mouth watering good. But the El Pastor taco was one of the best I’ve had. Our server was top notch and everything was pretty damn good. It is a little strange enjoying a good “Mexican” meal in an old school Legion with military headshots, TVs playing American Football, pull tab machine and the wood paneling that still holds the smells of the Legions days long gone. Make sure to give them try I know I’ll be taking that exit off off Interstate 35.
