We came upon it by chance and dived in... leer más We knew of Horno Santo Cristo from our Lonely Planet guide. We genned up on Palma during our train journey from Sa Pobla. We came upon it by chance and dived in around 1ish. The bakery was full but we lucked out on the last table. The bakery serves an array of sweet and savoury pastries from the counter and hot and cold drinks. Decent coffee was had also various cans of Fanta and Coke etc. We devoured our delicious savouries, went back for sweet and then again to take away. (Still walking it off! The setting is charming on a busy shopping street, the interior is old school and the service is counter based but very friendly. All was very affordable earning a rare 5 stars from me.

In comparison to UK butcher's pies, they are full of meat but lack the spicy, pepperyness of our own NE England variety. The lemon cake was delicious as was the baguette. Nice shop, nice service.

El servicio estaba lejos de ser eficiente, nos sentimos casi invisibles. La comida no es nada especial, aunque la presentación es hermosa. Probablemente si quieren una pizza, no pueden equivocarse, se veía genial, pero otros platos dependen del día.

Me metí en el pecho y en la espalda una hamburguesa rebotada con papas caseras y un sándwich vegetal que eran escandalosos. 100% recomendable. Sólo puse una foto de la hamburguesa como del sándwich de hambre que llevaba o pensaba. Y las copas que no te digo, no son tazas, son campeones que no son el Madrid real.
